The original 1977 Book of Lists featured an exclusive list of the legendary William Wyler’s 10 Greatest Films of all time.  Here is his list, along with the original introduction.

“Director William Wyler’s film career has spanned over half a century.  He began his career  with low-budgeted two reel westerns and graduated into million-dollar  epics.  He has been nominated for a dozen Motion Picture Academy Awards.  His Oscar-winning films are Mrs. Miniver, The Best Years of Our Lives, and Ben Hur. Other highly acclaimed films by this outstanding director include The Little Foxes, The Children’s Hour, and Funny Girl.
