Hey Stargayzers…See You in September!

Stargayzing is truly a labor of love for me.  The pleasure of writing and sharing my words with you is the overarching reason I work so hard.  But the time required to post as much as I do—not to even begin to mention the blog’s evil sister, that bitch social media, does wear one down after this many months without a break.  For that reason I’ve decided to press “pause” for the month of August while I recharge and renew, the better to return after Labor Day and approach the writing with my customary vigor.

I wanted to end this blog post with a video and considered many things.  First I was going to be silly and share the amazing Rock Hudson/Bea Arthur number Everybody Today is Turnin’ On from I Love My Wife.  Then I thought I would use the Glass Tiger’s Don’t Forget Me When I’m Gone, one of my favorite mid-1980s pop songs, but I decided the video was kind of boring and the message kind of obvious.  In the end I decided to just be sincere.  So here is comedy legend Carol Burnett singing I’m So Glad We Had This Time Together, her show’s theme song and singing it extremely well, I might add.  It was written by then-husband Joe Hamilton and it always tugged at my heart just a little bit.

See you in September!

Just saw you and Elisa on netflix (Girls who love boys who love boys). Watched the whole season – couldn’t stop! Fell in love with you both, especially you , David. Went on line to find out more and happened upon this site. Wish I could watch more of your life!

Hi Amy, If you watched my life you would see a gay guy sitting in front of a computer typing and complaining that he’s getting fat—not too exciting. Seriously, the best way to keep up is through my blog which sort of parallels my life, or at least some version of it. I would love it if you signed up for the monthly newsletter on the home page so I can add you to the mailing list.

Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to comment. It means a lot to me. David
