“…there’ll be new dreams, maybe better dreams and plenty, before the last revolving year is through…”

It is with great disappointment that we are announcing the closing of Laurel Canyon Vintage on June 15th. We opened the shop in 2009 as an homage to the music, spirit and fashion of the late sixties and early seventies. Despite a great reception by fashionistas and our many loyal customers, we have to say goodbye due to the imminent gut renovation of the building at 63 Thompson Street.
The good news for our customers is that all the inventory in the store is 50%. Come in and say “hello” and get some great bargains. Of course we’ll be continuing to provide the finest quality of women’s vintage clothing at Chelsea Girl on Spring Street.
As a tribute to what the shop was about, here are some of our favorite pictures from our time in the Canyon that, perhaps, expresses those intentions better than words. Like the clothing and music of the period, the store was made by hand, with full hearts and no irony. We’d like to extend a special shout out to Sam Weiss, whose creativity and passion was such an integral part of the shop.
