I’m very proud of Christmas Melody, a new holiday song that I Executive Produced for Syesha Mercado, a young singer that you may be familiar with from her success on American Idol a few seasons ago.  I’ve worked with many talented vocalists over the years and I have to say that Syesha is right up there with the best of them.  I think she is going to have a long and successful career and—as you know—that’s not as common as it used to be.

The song was written several years ago by the legendary Neil Sedaka, with lyrics by Denise Rich and Jodi Marr while I was running Denise Rich Songs, and I am really happy that circumstances enabled me to, in a sense, go back in time and make sure the song got the record made on it that deserved.

I think Mike Beck did a wonderful job with the production and really elevated the whole project.  Many thanks to Denise for letting us record in the most beautiful studio in New York City.
